Jökulheimar II

In Jökulheimar, the Iceland Glaciological Society operates mountain huts that are used for the society’s research expeditions but are also utilized by travelers outside of those times. Jökulheimar is located right at the edge of Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier, in a dramatic landscape shaped by the glacier’s powerful forces.

Real Experiences from Satisfied Guests

"As an Icelander living in Sweden, I always wanted to show my Swedish friends the magic of the Icelandic highlands—but I had no idea how to book the huts. Before huts.is, it felt impossible. Now it’s not just doable—it’s easy. We found our perfect spot in the mountains and had an amazing time"
