Tindfjallasel
Tindfjallasel is one of three huts at Tindfjöll area, the first one you reach when coming from Fljótshlíð. It replaces an older hut previously operated by the Icelandic Air Ground Rescue Team. The new hut opens up exciting opportunities for enjoying a variety of outdoor activities in this magnificent region. It is a 26-person hut, well-suited as a base for extended stays, whether for ski touring in winter or hiking in summer. The hut makes it easier to embark on longer treks, including routes that cross the Tindfjöll mountains and continue toward Hungurfit and Dalakofi. Note: Running water is only in the summer time, from mid June to end of August.
