Svínárnes
The hut at Svínárnes is located by the Svíná River, just below Búrfell, in the middle of the Hrunamannaafréttur area. There is running water, a stable, and a horse paddock. The old turf hut has recently been renovated. Cooking equipment and utensils are available. Total accommodation capacity: Space for up to 32 people. Main house: Accommodation for up to 20 people – 10 people in a mix of single and double beds on the ground floor, and 10 people on single mattresses in the sleeping loft. Room 1: 8-person downstairs – 8 single beds Room 2: 3–4-person upstairs – mattresses Room 3: 6–8-person upstairs – mattresses Sold as one unit.

Attention – Important Seasonal Notice
From October to June, this hut is only accessible with specialized vehicles (modified 4x4 “super jeeps”), snowmobiles, skis, or by hiking. Standard cars cannot reach the hut during this period. Open all year, but in winter time it is not possible to drive in the area on regular 4x4 cars (only "super-jeeps", snowmobiles etc). Road conditions can be checked at www.umferdin.is
