Sveinstindur
Sveinstindur hut was originally used by farmers during sheep gathering in the highlands, but it was renovated a few years ago by members of Útivist. The reconstruction preserved the original stone walls and honored traditional Icelandic building methods. The result is a charming hut that blends beautifully into the surrounding landscape. The Skaftá river flows nearby, and the area is known for its lush, vibrant moss. Although there is no dedicated warden at Sveinstindur, the hut is maintained by the wardens at both Strútur and Hólaskjól.
