Helgaskáli
Helgaskáli is located on the so-called Línuvegur (Line Road) between Tungufellsdalur and Þjórsárdalur. The hut stands by Stóra-Laxá, right next to Geldingafell. The hut has running water, indoor toilet facilities accessible from inside the hut, a stable, and a horse paddock. Cooking equipment and utensils are available. There are bunks in the hut for about 24 people.

Open all year, but in winter time it is not possible to drive in the area on regular 4x4 cars (only "super-jeeps").
